Delete Your Account

To delete your Bankside Log account, email privacy@banksidelog.uk from the address associated with your account, with the subject line "Delete my account". We currently handle deletion requests directly — we'll confirm your identity if needed, then delete your account and data within a reasonable period.

If you signed up using Google or Apple sign-in and aren't sure which email address is tied to your account, check the account row in Bankside Log's Settings screen, or include as much identifying detail as you can (sign-in method, approximate sign-up date, a venue or catch you've logged) so we can locate the right account.

Once your account deletion is processed, we permanently delete:

• Your account and sign-in credentials
• All trips, catches, licences, and notes associated with your account
• All photos you've uploaded, from Firebase Cloud Storage

We may retain limited records for a short additional period where we're required to by law or for accounting purposes, as described in our Privacy Policy. Beyond that, nothing is kept.

If you just want to remove a specific trip, catch, or licence rather than your whole account, you can do that directly in the app at any time — no need to contact us or delete your account. Open the trip, catch, or licence and use its delete option: it's removed from your device immediately, and from our cloud storage as soon as your device next has an internet connection.
